Occurrence of anti-measles virus antibodies in sera, cerebro-spinal fluid, urine and saliva from SSPE patients was studied. Correlation was found between the levels of antibodies in urine and serum in both SSPE patients and control group. Analysis of occurrence of IgG antibodies in sera, cerebro-spinal fluid and saliva revealed its association of SSPE. In this study usefulness of ELISA test for identification antiviral IgG in respect to atypical phenomenon in humoral response to measles virus in SSPE patients was confirmed.
