Problems of the motivation for therapy (opposed to the existence of a noncondition of suffering) of alcoholics are being discussed, with problems of the collection of a survey of the motivation for therapy being explained first. In particular, it is pointed out that psychometric test inventories (with known methodical-methodological complicatedness) have not been available yet. Based on own experience aspects of the formation of motivations in alcoholics, including the discussion of necessary milieu-therapeutical questions and of adequate thereapeutical variables, are demonstrated. The step-by-step development of the motivation process is shown, from which therapeutical-rehabilitative and organistory conclusions and assessments can be derived.
