A comparative study of fibrinolytic and thrombolytic effects of plasminogen activated with streptolyase (PAS) and fibrinolysin (a commercial preparation) has shown that PAS possesses more pronounced fibrinolytic and thrombocytolytic activity as compared to the commercial preparation fibrinolysin. Moreover, administration of thrombolytic doses of PAS does not induce disorders in the hemostasis in contrast to streptokinase producing significant disorders in the blood coagulation attended by hemorrhage.
