Estimated household expenditure on dairy products and margarine in Great Britain in 1973 was as follows (pence/head/wk, with 1972 figures in parentheses): liquid milk, 25.72 (24.20); other milk, 2.73 (2.57); cheese, 7.93 (7.16); butter, 6.92 (7.65); margarine, 2.69 (3.01). Figures for the 4th quarter of 1973 are analysed by weekly income of head of household as well as by composition of household (number of adults, number of children and age of housewife). Corresponding statistics are also given for numerous other foodstuffs.
