Retroperitoneal fibrosis is a rare disease characterized by an anomalous proliferation of retroperitoneal connective tissue. The Authors report 5 cases of retroperitoneal fibrosis (four idiopathic and one secondary to Crohn's disease) studied by intravenous pyelography and/or retrograde pyelography and by computed tomography (CT). They emphasize the capability of CT for diagnosis of retroperitoneal fibrosis.
