8 groups (78 subjects) undertook local dynamic muscle work to exhaustion (load range 40%..80% MVC; 20..60 working cycles per min) to allow a study of responses of the cardiopulmonary and motor systems during work with different rest intervals. From the behaviour of the endurance time, of the sum of the force-time-integral and from the slope of parameters of the cardio-pulmonary and motor systems it may be concluded that 60 min rest is sufficient for adequate recovery from local dynamic work to exhaustion. This finding is valid for loads between 40%..80% MVC and working frequencies between 20..60 cycles per min.
