An attempt was made to find out if there is a correlation between shifts in the main spatial components of the electric field of the heart and certain quantitative roentgenocardiometric indices in isolated right ventricle hypertrophy and whether the nature and degree of shifts in the spatial vector orientation are determined by the prevailing influence of the increased heart volume or by the modified topographic correlations between the heart areas and the development of rotational shifts. The experiment was conducted with 22 right ventricle hypertrophy patients. Some aspects of the developmental mechanism of pathological signs on the ECG and vectorcardiogram in various stages of right ventricle hypertrophy were elucidated.
