Using the injection method, cortical vascularization of the long bones of the lower limb was investigated in 30 human fetuses of crown-rump length ranging from 113 to 245 mm. The study revealed a close correlation beween the orientation of blood vessels and the arrangement of bone trabeculae, as well as the influence of the number and localization of the nutrient foramina and channels on the formation of capillary network in the cortex, in which the specific vascular zones were distinguished.
