A survey questionnaire assessed the benefits of a nutrition information newsletter ("Nutri-Notes") for university students. Most students (79%) read from 1-5 or more of the 7 newsletter issues produced, with 69% stating that they had learned some basic nutrition facts. About 10% stated they had changed their eating habits because of newsletter information. Most (73%) believed the university dining hall foodservice to be a good place to get nutrition information, and 61% stated that they would like to receive the newsletter during the next academic year. A 47% return of the questionnaire was obtained from 800 students.
