It has been found in examination of 35 patients who were subjected to allotransplantation of the cadaver kidney that there is a connection between the character of the clinicofuncitonal symptoms in the posttransplantation period and the morphological changes in the transplant. Clinicolaboratory symptoms manifested by minimal proteinuria and transitroy moderate arterial hypertension were typical of the tubular-interstitial variant of posttransplantation nephropathy. The vascular variant of rejection nephropathy manifested by a clinically pronounced urinary syndrome that was combined, in most of the patients, with high stable arterial hypertension. Persistent disorders of tubular function are typical of both morphological variants of rejection nephropathy and may be its earliest symptom.
