Prognosis and treatment of lymphosarcoma in the leukemic transformation stage of acute leukemia

Immediate and late results of varying types of drug therapy in 111 patients with lymphosarcoma at the stage of leukemogenesis by the type of acute leukemia are presented. Remission was more frequently achieved when asparaginasa was used, alone or combined with other drugs. The bone marrow involvement into the tumoral process in immunoblastic and lymphoblastic lymphosarcomas reduces drastically the patient's survival and is a bad prognostic sign. The patient's survival depends on the efficacy of the therapy conducted.
