The accessory olfactory bulb (AOB) of the hedgehog, its topographic localization, its dimensions and the thickness of its individual layers were studied in serial paraffin sections. The microscopic structure of the layers and the cellular elements was described. Attention was drawn to the morphological similarity of the hedgehog AOB to the AOB of various rodents described by others.
