Health problems in Thailand and unsatisfactory results of the previous strategy were reported. New approaches by the utilization of the objective checked medical record and the "Handbook on Common Skin Diseases in Thailand" were used and evaluated. Identification of 22 common skin diseases, instead of previous classification by groups of diseases, is more specific and managable. Statistical analysis revealed no difference of ability in management of 22 common skin diseases among the graduates of 1-mo., 3-mo. and 2-yr training courses. Modification of the 1-mo course will be established. Achievement of the 1-mo graduates beyond the ability of managment of 22 common skin diseases should be studied further. Development of a referral system will also be evaluated. Method of construction of both media was reported step by step.
