Laparoscopy in oncological practice

The results of an analysis of laparoscopy performed in 204 patients for neoplasms of the peritoneal cavity, retroperitoneal space and lung carcinoma are presented. Laparoscopic findings were confirmed by subsequent surgery in 166 cases. These findings in lung cancer patients were compared with the results of a previous radionuclide examination of the liver, laparoscopic diagnosis being confirmed in 66.6%.
