The character of metabolic shifts were studied in arterial hypertension patients who were treated with hypothiazide for 1 mo. The level of glucose, uric acid and .beta.-lipoproteins was signficantly increased, the content of cholesterol insignificantly increased and K concentration in the blood serum signficantly decreased.
