Histological examination of affected lambs in an outbreak of partial paralysis in a sheep flock grazing pasture contaminated with foxhound faeces revealed encephalomyelitis and sarcocysts in brain and muscle. These were identified morphologically as Sarcocystis ovicanis and S. tenella.
