The following is based partly on the authors' abstract. Nine strains of a new arbovirus were isolated from examples of Dermacentor variabilis (Say) and Haemaphysalis leporispalustris (Pack.) collected in the Tampa Bay area of Florida in 1964. It is named Sawgrass virus.
