A proposal to set up an international scientific network for information on horticultural economics

The Internet opens new possibilities to gain information. Because most of the information in this open network is useless to researchers, the establishment of a closed network for horticultural economics named Hort-E-Net is recommended. The Department of Horticultural Economics at the University of Hannover, Germany, offers to its WWW-server to be part of the network, and seeks two or three worldwide partners to share the duties. A detailed proposal shows how a Hort-E-Net should be constructed and managed and which activities should be maintained. The proposed activities are based on the experience with the BioNet and the Anet (the physical net of the international accounting network).
