This article discusses the concept of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) control, integrated with family planning programmes in Developing Countries. Current existing HIV control and prevention programmes include Voluntary Counselling and Testing, Mother-to-Child Transmission and long term Antiretroviral Therapy. These programmes offer an avenue that can be explored to fulfill the unmet needs for family planning interventions.
