Some aspects of cervical cancer in young African women in Kenya

The author presents a case material on some aspects of cervical cancer in young patients in Kenya. A total of 216 patients below the age of 35 years are reviewed. Peaks for cancer of the cervix were noted at the age of 25, 30 and 35 years. All patients had born children. Bleeding was more common in this series as a presenting symptom. The majority of the patients were seen late and therefore most were treated with radiotherapy.
