Treatment of established infections of candidasis in partridges with formic acid

Six groups of partridge chicks, Perdix perdix, were reared on ground artificially infected with Candida albicans. When clinical condition and cultural examination confirmed the establishment of candidasis, chicks were given food sprayed with formic acid once daily at the rate of 20 cc per 100 g for 15 days. One group was treated with 6%, two with 10% and one with 15%. As controls, chicks in two pens were given untreated feed.
