Lobbying. Advocacy. These are words that are attaining new meaning for hospital trustees. Throughout the country, as legislators attempt to formulate legislative solutions to rising health care costs and to develop more effective payment systems, more and more trustees are being called upon to tell the hospital's story and to represent the institutions and communities they serve in the political arena.
