Ventilation of operating rooms without humidifying them?

At outside temperatures as low as 0.degree. C, relative humidities not below 10 per cent were measured in two different operating rooms during surgical treatment which involved an air exchange of 15 to 20 times and which were not humidified. No discomfort is felt by persons present in rooms involving so low a humidity. It is proposed to do without humidification in air-conditioned rooms, because it is questionable in terms of hygiene.
