Patients (178) with atrioventricular block were examined. The case histories of 3 patients were described. Data were presented on their clinical and ECG data. The recovery of sinus rhythm in patients with complete atrioventricular block in the presence of asynchronous stimulation did not depend on the patients' age. It was for the most part determined by the degree to which the cardiac conduction system was involved. This complication may occur in the 1st days and in later periods (up to 1.5 yr) after implantation of the electrocardiostimulator. Therefore early and late artificial parasystoles may develop.
