In Czechoslovakia, necropsy of 6 Ondatra zibethica showed that the intensity of infection of H. [Taenia] taeniaeformis was 10 to 20 strobilocerci/liver. 90% of faecal samples from 12 cats contained H. taeniaeformis eggs. Rodent species which have served as intermediate hosts for H. taeniaeformis in Czechoslovakia are listed. The epizootiology of this cestode is discussed.
