Cases (9) of benign disease of the male pelvis were evaluated by computerized tomography (CT). These were from inflammatory and congenital causes. Due to obliteration of the seminal vesicular angle, the benign nature of some of these cases was not recognized. CT-controlled biopsy did not aid in the diagnosis, because a report of inflammatory cells could not exclude malignancy. Benign disease can be found during CT, but differentiation from malignant disease will be difficult. Two representative cases are presented.
