Double pigtail ureteral stent was inserted by endoscope in 12 cases and by surgery in 10 cases. They were in place for 12-155 days without any trouble in 19 cases. Distal migration was experienced in 3 cases, but no severe side effects were experienced. The quality of life of the patient was improved since no external collection appliance was necessary.
