Pulmonary hemorrhage in hemophilia

An 11-yr-old boy with moderately severe hemophilia A who had had multiple episodes of bleeding was admitted with the clinical and radiological picture of pulmonary hemorrhage following an upper respiratory tract infection. There were extensive opacities of the right upper and left lower lobes. The course was afebrile and the opacities cleared within several days. There are few reports of acute pulmonary hemorrhage complicating hemophilia.
