In 56 patients with diverse corneal epithelial surface disorders, the results (.apprx. 75% success) with the Softcon XT lens are consistent with those using other thin-design lenses. A wide variety of lens parameters and an intermediate water content are the major advantages of this lens. Softcon XT provides a valuable addition to the armamentarium of lenses for therapeutic use.
