The effects of various dosages of ethinyl estradiol-ethinyl nortesto sterone acetate combinations on vascular sclerosis (heart, inferior vena cava, ovarian and uterine vessels) were studied in male and female beagles. No sclerotic changes were observed in the ovarian vessels of treated animals. The so-called "ovulation sclerosis" may resemble vascular pathology, but it is a completely physiological concomitant of ovulation. Other vessels studied were equally free of sclerotic lesions.
