The conventional roentgen features of rickets are well known and described. Inspired by reports of unusual manifestation of rickets from tropical countries, a series of 20 cases of advanced rickets showing unusual changes in short bones of hands and feet (50%) and changes of atrophic rickets (50%) were completed. The importance of these findings is discussed and relevant literature was reviewed.
