The various components of the immune system are reviewed from the point of view of chronic mucocutaneous candidosis (CMC), including lymphocyte-mediated functions, regulatory abnormalities, antibody production, plasma factors, phagocytic cell function, complement and mechanisms of cutaneous inflammation. The treatment of CMC is also reviewed.
