Functional status of the body and hematopoietic regeneration in bone marrow donors

On the basis of investigaton of 453 bone marrow donors it was concluded that withdrawal of up to 700 ml bone marrow under local analgesia induced no complications in donors. The study of the parameters characterizing the hemopoiesis process helped to determine the period of hemopoiesis regeneration and to substantiate the possibility of withdrawal from normal donors of bone marrow for clinical use.
