Rutozid induces a hyperpolarization of the frog's sartorius muscle fiber membrane similar with that induced by procaine in anesthetic concentration. This phenomenon is manifest in wide concentration ranges (4 mg%-166 mg%) and is connected with the specific vascular effects rutozid has. Procaine-rutin, a new product under adductible form, based on procaine and rutozid, presents bioelectric effects similar with those of its components as well as some new properties which can favorably interfere with some vascular, trophic and anesthetic effects.
