Monosymptomatic hypochondriacal psychosis. A report of 3 cases

Cases (3) of monosymptomatic hypochondriacal psychosis were described and discussed. Attention was drawn to their main clinical features, namely a single delusional belief without other psychotic symptoms. All 3 cases responded well to phenothiazines . The fact that these conditions tend to present as secondary depression or at the door of other discipline were highlighted.
