Actinomycosis of the pancreas

The case is reported of a 39-yr-old man with acute chronic pancreatitis who died after operation. Microbiological examination of the contents of the stomach and intestines and of liver tissue was negative. Actinomyces sp. was cultured from abscesses in the pancreas and from the contents of the abdominal cavity.
