Hydatid cyst of the pancreas: case report

At laparotomy a primary hydatid cyst of the pancreatic head, compressing the bile duct and resulting in cholangitis was found in a 60-year-old woman who had been suffering with epigastric pain, fever and jaundice. Surgical removal of the mother cyst and drainage of the residual cavity was successful.
