Solitary Aspergillus mycetoma of the kidney

A case in a 59-yr-old man with a 2-yr history of lymphoblastoma is reported. The patient had been receiving intensive cytostatic and steroid therapy and had also been given gentamycin for a bacterial infection of the urinary tract. Serological tests were positive for A. and A. fumigatus was isolated repeatedly from urine. The kidney was removed and the patient was asymptomatic 9 months later.
