Epidemiology of strongyloidiasis in the northern Caucassus

Based on the results of mass examination of the population (11,530 persons) for strongyloidosis, an evaluation of the epidemiological situation was given; this was determined by the existence of the invasion foci of low and mean intensity. The reasons of an irregular distribution of strongyloidosis were analyzed. The invasion was found mainly in adult persons. An important level of morbidity (1.3%) was found in collective farmers and Sovkhoz [USSR] workers.
