The genetics research has been continued. Harland's conclusion that there are different normal alleles of crinkled distinguishable by differences in dominance potency has been supported in part. Important environmental effects on dominance have been demonstrated from experiments with Meade x Meade crinkled. The following abnormalities are now known to be independent of the crinkle series-round leaf, glabrous dwarf, Nigerian rogue, St Joseph crinkled, Columbian rogue and Moco short bract.
