The prevalence of coccidia in faecal samples from sheep in North Wales

A survey of the incidence of coccidia in the faeces of sheep from North Wales revealed 9 species of Eimeria; 95% of the 60 samples were infected and most contained between 4 and 8 different species. E. ahsata, E. arloingi, E. ninaekohlyakimovae and E. crandallis, which are considered to be the most pathogenic, were also the most numerous.
