In 75 patients with infected scabies, the isolation rate of streptococci and staphylococci was 61.3 and 62.6%, respectively. The streptococci were of group A and bacitracin-sensitive. Six cases showed urinary changes; 4 had nephritogenic strains on skin lesions; such strains were absent in the throat and on normal skin.
