The small bowel enema in the management of small bowel obstruction

In 16 patients with clinical evidence of bowel obstruction and complex medical histories, the small bowel was radiologically studied using the intubation method. Clinically significant information which altered the management was obtained in 15 cases. The procedure was considered to be more controlled, more detailed and faster than the conventional follow-through examination. No complications were encountered.
