This study examined the influence of social networks on the sexual relations of migrant construction workers in Hanoi, Vietnam. Data were collected through observations and interviews with members of 2 different groups of workers between August 2004 and January 2005. The first group, together with their employer (cai), came from the same village; the second group came from different villages.
