This chapter reviews current knowledge on diarrhoeal diseases. The epidemiology, pathogenesis, interactions between nutrition and diarrhoeal diseases, dietary management of these conditions and nutrition interventions that may prevent diarrhoeal diseases are discussed. It is concluded that nutrition and diarrhoeal diseases are closely related.
