A 39-yr-old white woman with lymphosarcoma, haemolytic anaemia and macroglobulinaemia presented with fever and back pain while receiving corticosteroid therapy. Right renal functional pathological changes were demonstrated. Disseminated nocardiosis of the skin and brain developed during antineoplastic chemotherapy and a nocardial renal abscess was found at autopsy.
