The symptoms and complaints relating to hyperexcitability of the motor unit, singly or collectively were presented. Conditions varying from transient, benign fasciculation to the gross fasciculation associated with muscle wasting, as well as specific conditions affecting the myoneural junction and the muscle fiber independently, were discussed.
