The diagnosis of Budd-Chiari syndrome, a condition caused by the obstruction of hepatic veins, is difficult due to the simple clinical criteria. Based on the description of the 3 clinical cases, certain recurrent features are identified which enable diagnostic indications that can be confirmed by well-defined instrumental explorations to be provided.
