A 9 year old gin with neurofibromatosis developed an asymptomatic abdominal masa that was discovered on a routine but carefully done physical examination. The mass proved to be an abdominal plexiform neurofibroma. The need for a thorough evaluation and long term follow-up of patients with neurofibromatosis is stressed.
