In 100 human fetuses, rami communicantes connecting ganglia of the pelvic segment of the sympathetic trunk were dissected. The presence of 1-7 rami communicantes, arising from an individual ganglion, was observed. The number of the branches depends chiefly on the kind of the ganglion. Spinal nerves connected with a single ganglion range from 1-4 in number.
